iraq’s Coordination Framework Announces Decision to Participate in November Elections with Separate Lists
According to a report by the English section of Webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News agency and Russia Al-Youm, the Coordination Framework of Iraq stated that during its 225th meeting held at the office of Hadi al-Amiri, members reviewed the latest political, security, and economic developments in Iraq and the region.
The Coordination Framework also expressed condolences over the passing of Pope Francis, noting that he held great respect and high spiritual stature.
In its statement, referring to the scheduled election date on November 11th, the Coordination Framework announced: “We will participate in the elections with separate lists.”
The group further affirmed its trust in the government to prepare an electoral environment and ensure election security while pledging support for the Autonomous high Electoral Commission (IHEC) to conduct fair elections.
