Iraq’s Coordination Framework Announces Decision to Participate in November Elections with Multiple Lists
The English section of the Webangah News agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Russia Al-Youm, reported that Iraq’s Coordination Framework declared its decision to participate in the country’s November elections with multiple lists.
During the 225th meeting of the Coordination Framework, held at Hadi al-Amiri’s office, members reviewed the latest political, security, and economic developments in Iraq and the region.
Additionally,the Coordination Framework expressed condolences over the passing of Pope Francis,noting his high spiritual stature and respect.
In its statement referencing the scheduled election date of November 11th, the group announced: “We will participate in the elections with different lists.”
The coalition also affirmed its trust in the government to prepare a conducive electoral habitat and ensure election security while pledging support for Iraq’s Independent High Electoral Commission to guarantee fair elections.
