China temporarily cancels visas for Persian Gulf littoral states
Chinese sources report that Beijing will implement a one-year pilot policy to waive visas for travelers from four Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries.
According to webangah News Agency,China’s Foreign Ministry announced the launch of a trial policy allowing ordinary passport holders from Saudi arabia,Oman,Kuwait,and Bahrain to enter china visa-free for stays of up to 30 days between June 9,2025,and June 8,2026.
Mao Ning, spokesperson for China’s Foreign Ministry, stated: “With the inclusion of the UAE and Qatar-which have maintained reciprocal visa-waiver agreements with China as 2018-China now extends visa exemptions to all GCC member states.”
She added: “We welcome more friends from GCC countries to embark on spontaneous trips to China.”
