France: European Countries Have Fulfilled Their Commitments to Tehran
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, quoting Mehr News Agency adn Al jazeera, France’s representative at the Security Council stated that today’s meeting allows for the implementation of Resolution 2231. He noted that Iran has increased uranium enrichment to 48 times the permitted level.
He added that France and othre european countries have complied with their legal commitments under the JCPOA. They remain committed to pursuing a political solution to Iran’s nuclear issue.
The UK representative at the Security Council, speaking ahead of a vote on extending sanctions relief for Iran, claimed that Resolution 2231 permits reinstating sanctions against Iran.
He further said the European troika has taken legal steps to restore these sanctions.
