North Korea Sets Conditions for Talks with the United States

According to the English section of ​ webangah News Agency, ‍citing Mehr News Agency⁣ and Russia Today, North Korean leader Kim Jong Un ⁤emphasized during the Supreme People’s Assembly sessions on Saturday and Sunday that Pyongyang ⁣intends to negotiate with Washington only ‌if the United States ​abandons its ⁤empty concerns about North Korea’s nuclear capabilities and its demands for denuclearization.

He added, “If the U.S. seeks peaceful coexistence ⁤with North Korea⁣ after accepting ⁢existing realities and drops its ‌denuclearization demands, we see no reason to refuse talks with Washington.”

Kim Jong Un also recalled having‍ positive memories of his meetings ⁣with former President⁣ Donald Trump.

Though, he​ stressed that ‌North Korea will never engage​ in dialog with ⁢South Korea and has ​no intention of pursuing reunification with Seoul.
