Ben Gvir: Mahmoud Abbas Must Be Arrested
According to the English section of webangah News Agency,quoting Mehr News Agency and Ma’an,Itamar Ben-Gvir,Israel’s Minister of Internal Security,stated that if he were prime minister,he would order the arrest of Mahmoud Abbas,head of the Palestinian Authority.
This comes as Mahmoud Abbas and the Palestinian Authority continue full cooperation with Tel aviv in actions targeting Palestinian resistance forces. This collaboration involves providing intelligence on resistance members, their locations, and even facilitating arrests by Palestinian Authority agents. Abbas has repeatedly condemned anti-Israeli operations carried out by resistance groups within the occupied territories.
Hebrew-language sources report that Ben-Gvir’s remarks came amid increased global recognition efforts for a sovereign State of Palestine.
The extremist minister has previously called for the execution of Palestinian prisoners.
