Yemeni Army Reports Missile Attack on Ship in Gulf of Aden

The ⁣Yemeni Armed Forces ⁤spokesperson confirmed a missile ⁤attack on a ship off the southern coast, stating the ⁣vessel was targeted for violating the ⁢blockade of Israeli-occupied Palestinian ports.

The Yemeni Armed Forces announced a military operation against the cargo ship Minerva Gracht in the Gulf of Aden,‍ according to webangah News Agency.

In⁤ a statement released by Yahya Saree, spokesperson for Yemen’s Armed ⁣Forces, the ship was struck with a cruise missile because its owning company had defied restrictions banning entry into Israeli-occupied Palestinian ports.

The Yemeni military emphasized that the precise strike caused a direct hit and fire onboard. The vessel is currently at risk of sinking.

Saree added: “The great ‌and resilient people of Yemen ‌stand firm ‌in their support and⁣ aid for the oppressed Palestinian nation against this century’s crimes and will continue their struggle.”

The‍ armed forces spokesperson warned that Yemen’s military operations will persist ‌unless aggression ends and gaza’s siege is lifted.

He stressed that Israel’s naval blockade remains enforced across the⁣ Red Sea,‌ Arabian Sea, Bab-el-Mandeb strait, and Gulf of aden.

Saree ⁤cautioned all companies⁤ and ‌vessels⁢ once again ⁤about consequences if they violate this blockade.

This strike follows ‌multiple attacks in recent weeks by Yemen on ships linked to Israel or companies collaborating with Tel Aviv. ‍Yemen ⁣considers these actions as practical support for the people of Gaza.
