Netanyahu’s Office Claims Readiness to Immediately Implement First Phase of Trump Plan
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al Jazeera, Netanyahu’s office stated that Israel is preparing for the immediate execution of the first stage of Trump’s plan focused on securing prisoner releases.
The Israeli Prime Minister’s office added that it continues to cooperate with Trump and his team to end the Gaza conflict based on Tel Aviv’s conditions.
Following Hamas’s official declaration accepting key principles of Donald Trump’s proposed plan to end the Gaza war,a wave of reactions and support emerged from regional and international actors.Meanwhile, reports indicate surprise and internal disputes within Israeli circles.
Earlier, Axios quoted an Israeli official saying Netanyahu was surprised by Trump’s response.
The official explained that before Trump’s proclamation, Netanyahu had interpreted Hamas’s reply as a rejection of the plan during prior consultations.
Another Israeli source told Axios that Netanyahu emphasized coordinating closely with Washington to prevent solidifying any perception that Hamas has accepted the proposal.
