U.S. Treasury Secretary Claims: ⁢Washington Dose Not Intend to Escalate ⁤Trade Confrontation with China⁤ and Hopes to Contain the⁢ trade Conflict

According to the English section ⁢of webangah‌ News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and ⁤RIA Novosti,U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott bessant‌ reiterated hostile positions against ‍Beijing in remarks⁣ made today, Wednesday.

The U.S. Treasury Secretary stated that Washington ⁤and its allies are ‍preparing a joint response to ChinaS ⁤trade restrictions. He expressed optimism about resolving trade‌ disputes ⁤with China, noting that high-level communications are ongoing. European allies⁢ should be‍ ready to impose tariffs on chinese goods linked to Russia’s oil ‌purchases.

Bessant claimed, in what appeared as a ⁤misleading assertion, that the United States does not seek to escalate the trade ⁢confrontation ⁣with China nor ⁤intends⁢ to harm its economy; rather, it hopes the ⁢trade conflict will be contained. He confirmed that U.S. tariffs on China do affect beijing.

According to Al Jazeera news agency, Bessant further alleged that China’s purchase of Russian oil strengthens Russia’s war machinery in Ukraine. Former President Trump still expects a meeting with China’s president ‍in South Korea.

Earlier, the Chinese government extended export restrictions on several categories of equipment and⁢ raw materials ‍used in producing⁣ rare ‍minerals.
