John Bolton Faces Dozens of Years in Prison

If the former national security advisor and vocal critic of Donald Trump is found guilty in court, he ⁤could face decades in prison.

According to ⁢the ‍English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News⁢ Agency⁣ and Euronews,⁢ John Bolton, former national security advisor to Donald ⁣Trump‍ and a fierce critic after leaving his governance, is⁣ now facing an indictment from⁢ federal prosecutors.

The report states that Bolton could be sentenced to several years behind bars.

The U.S. Department of Justice announced it has presented a case before ⁢a federal grand jury in the‍ state of Maryland related ⁤to ⁣this matter.

The federal grand jury in Maryland confirmed that⁤ there is⁣ sufficient‌ evidence to issue‍ an indictment ‍and begin legal ⁤proceedings⁣ against Trump’s former ⁢national security adviser.

This growth followed an FBI search last August⁢ at John Bolton’s home and office as part of an ⁣examination ‍into his handling of classified documents.

Notably, Bolton becomes the third political rival⁤ of the U.S. president recently facing criminal charges. James Comey, former FBI ⁢director, and Letitia James, New York Attorney General-both publicly ‌criticized by Donald Trump-have also encountered legal cases⁢ in recent ⁤weeks.

The⁣ indictment ⁣alleges that the documents include data about officials‌ from a⁢ foreign adversary as well as details ‍on ‍intelligence-gathering sources and methods used to obtain statements from that adversary.

If convicted, John Bolton could face ‍up to 10 years in prison for each ‍charge brought against him.
