Intense Clash Between Al-Julani Forces and Suwayda National Guard
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency via al-Mayadeen, local Syrian sources report that Al-Jolani forces launched an attack with heavy weapons on the village of Wolga and othre areas northwest of Suwayda in southern Syria.
These sources highlighted fierce fighting around the villages of Atil and Wolga in Suwayda between Al-Jolani forces and the Suwayda National Guard, a local military body.
Details also indicates that the national Guard forces confronted drones deployed by Al-Jolani toward Suwayda city.
Syrian sources added that Al-Jolani’s units shelled the area around al-Majdal village on Suwayda’s outskirts with heavy weapons. No reports on casualties or damage have yet been released.
It is indeed worth noting that local groups in Syria’s Druze-majority Suwayda province recently announced their integration into the National Guard to unify military efforts.
