Joulani Regime Issues Passive, Repetitive Response to Netanyahu’s Presence in Syrian Territory

According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Russia Al-Youm, the Foreign Ministry of the Al-Joulani regime issued an official statement condemning Benjamin Netanyahu’s visit to a region in southern Syria. The ministry described it as a dangerous violation of Syria’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
The statement emphasized that this move represents “a new attempt to impose a reality contrary to relevant Security Council resolutions.” It declared Israel’s actions part of “occupation policies aimed at consolidating aggression and perpetuating violations on Syrian land.”
The Foreign Ministry called this act an unacceptable escalation of tensions. It accused Israel of exploiting regional conditions to strengthen its illegal military presence in southern Syria.
According to the statement, the Al-Joulani regime reiterated its call for Israel’s complete withdrawal from all occupied Syrian territories. It further asserted that Israeli activities in southern Syria are null and void with no legal basis under international law.
Syria’s Foreign Ministry urged the international community to fulfill its responsibilities by “controlling Israeli actions and compelling full withdrawal from southern Syria.” It stressed “the need to return to the 1974 disengagement agreement and respect recognized borders.”
The statement concluded by affirming that Syria will continue defending its sovereignty and inviolable rights until all occupied territories are fully reclaimed.
Israeli media reported Benjamin Netanyahu’s tour in southern Syria alongside Defense Minister Yisrael Katz and Foreign Minister Gidon Sa’ar.
