Iraqi FM: Israeli Threats Against Iraq, Lebanon, Syria Persist

Iraqi Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein has stated that threats from the Israeli regime against Iraq, Lebanon, and Syria continue to pose a challenge to regional stability. Hussein also addressed Iraq’s political structure and the ongoing efforts to form a new government.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Iraqi Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein has voiced concerns over ongoing threats from Israel directed towards Iraq, Lebanon, and Syria.

Speaking about the political dynamics within Iraq regarding the selection of key leaders, Hussein noted that the primary challenges stem from internal divisions within political components rather than disputes between different groups.

Referring to the parliamentary elections and efforts to establish a new government, Hussein indicated that substantial progress is expected to begin early next month.

Hussein also addressed recent remarks made by the U.S. Special Envoy to Syria, stating that Tom Barrack’s comments about Iraq do not accurately reflect the realities on the ground.

Highlighting Iraq’s vulnerability to regional tensions, Hussein commented on external influences in Iraq’s affairs. He acknowledged that some countries show preference for specific parties within the Iraqi government, but emphasized that the final decisions will be made by Iraqis themselves.

The Foreign Minister reiterated the persistent threat posed by the Israeli regime to Iraq, Lebanon, and Syria.

Concerning regional relations, Hussein stressed the importance of maintaining communication with Syria due to shared borders and the common experience of combating terrorism.

Fuad Hussein clarified that he did not discuss the Lebanese issue with U.S. Special Envoy Tom Barrack during their recent meeting.
