Kremlin Seeks Details on US-Ukraine Talks, Questions European Involvement

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov announced Tuesday that Moscow has not received any indication of progress in negotiations aimed at resolving the conflict in Ukraine.
Peskov stated that before organizing a new round of talks on Ukraine, Russia needs to be informed about the results of Washington’s contacts with Kyiv, which included European involvement.
Peskov further commented that the participation of Europe in the negotiations to resolve the conflict in Ukraine is not a positive sign.
Earlier, Axios reported that meetings of working groups related to resolving the Ukraine issue might be held later this week in Miami. It is expected that during a dinner hosted by Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, envoys of President Donald Trump, with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and several senior European officials, Trump will contact them by telephone.
Axios also reported, citing informed sources, that Washington’s plan for Ukraine includes Kyiv withdrawing from areas it controls in the Donbas region.
According to these sources, the lands from which Ukraine withdraws in Donbas will become a free, demilitarized economic zone.
