UNICEF Reports Gaza Children Bear Heavy Costs in 2025 Amid Ongoing Conflict

UNICEF has warned that children in Gaza continue to suffer severe consequences due to the ongoing war and blockade, with over 100,000 facing acute food insecurity.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, UNICEF has highlighted the dire situation facing children in Gaza in 2025, attributing their suffering to the prolonged conflict and blockade imposed by the Israeli regime. The UN children’s agency reported that famine was declared in parts of Gaza during the summer of 2025 due to war, blockade, and restricted aid access.

While famine has since been alleviated, UNICEF emphasized that conditions remain highly precarious, with approximately 100,000 children experiencing severe food insecurity. The agency warned that Gaza’s children continue to face threats of starvation, disease, and death as the conflict persists.

UNICEF stressed that the crisis in Gaza is not a natural disaster but a direct consequence of war and blockade policies. The statement concluded by asserting that innocent children are paying the price for political decisions beyond their control.
