Thailand Releases 18 Cambodian Soldiers After 155 Days in Detention

Thailand has freed 18 Cambodian soldiers following a border clash, handing them over at a crossing in Pilin province after 155 days in custody, as confirmed by Cambodian defense officials.
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Thailand has released 18 Cambodian soldiers who were detained for 155 days following border clashes. The soldiers were handed over to Cambodian authorities at the border crossing between Pilin province in Cambodia and Chanthaburi province in Thailand at 10:00 AM local time.
Cambodian defense officials stated that the soldiers were detained by Thai forces just hours after a ceasefire agreement was signed between the two countries in July. Thailand had previously announced that the soldiers would be released if the ceasefire remained uninterrupted for 72 hours.
