Greenland Prime Minister Warns of US Attempts to Control the Territory

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Greenland‘s Prime Minister Jens-Fredrik Nielsen warned that the US is actively pursuing control over the Arctic territory. Speaking in the island’s parliament on Monday, Nielsen emphasized that the US perspective on Greenland and its inhabitants has not shifted.

During his translated address, the Prime Minister asserted that Washington continues to explore avenues for asserting ownership and dominance over the strategically significant polar region. The remarks come amid growing international interest in the Arctic’s resources and shipping routes.
