US Treasury Imposes New Sanctions Targeting Hezbollah Financial Network

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) of the US Treasury Department implemented new sanctions against Lebanon’s Hezbollah movement today, Tuesday.
The US Treasury Department claimed, without referencing the ongoing aggression and continuous violations by the Zionist regime against Lebanon, that Hezbollah poses a threat to peace and stability across West Asia. This assertion framed the basis for the new enforcement actions against the Lebanese group.
Furthermore, the Treasury Department advanced an assertion regarding efforts to isolate Hezbollah from the global financial system. In line with this stated objective, the ministry confirmed that Jood SARL Gold Exchange Company, which reportedly operates under the supervision of the Al-Qard Al-Hasan institution, is the subject of today’s punitive measures from Washington.
