United States Imposes Fresh Sanctions Targeting Iranian Oil Sector Activities

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the United States Treasury Department confirmed the imposition of fresh sanctions related to Iran on Friday, according to data released by Mehr News Agency.
These restrictive measures have been applied to two individuals and fifteen entities actively engaged in operations connected to Iran’s crucial oil sector. The move signals an immediate hardening of Washington’s stance against Tehran.
This announcement follows a recent pattern of U.S. actions, as the Treasury Department had previously targeted Iranian-linked persons, several organizations, and vessels with sanctions.
Crucially, the declaration of these new sanctions and Washington’s current hostile positioning occurred only hours after a new round of indirect nuclear negotiations between Iran and the United States concluded. Those talks, which began Friday morning, the 17th of Bahman, took place in Muscat with Oman serving as the mediator.
During this latest session of indirect nuclear dialogue, the negotiating delegations representing Iran and the United States conveyed a series of their respective views, considerations, and strategic approaches to one another via Omani Foreign Minister Badr Al Busaidi.
