Pakistan Rules Out Diplomatic Ties With Israel, Citing Palestinian Statehood

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Pakistan‘s Defense Minister Khawaja Asif has definitively rejected the possibility of establishing diplomatic relations between Islamabad and the Israeli regime. In an interview with France 24, Asif stated that this matter might only be considered if an independent territory is established for the Palestinians.
Responding to a question about whether Pakistan would “normalize” its relations with the Zionists, similar to some other Muslim countries, he clarified, “I don’t even see this option being considered by Pakistan.”
The Pakistani Defense Minister stressed that recognizing the Israeli regime is something that is not on their agenda at all and underscored his country’s principled stance on the Palestinian issue.
