Hezbollah Official Denounces Lebanese Government’s Negotiations as Capitulation, Fueling Israeli Aggression

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Ali Fayyad, a member of the Lebanese parliament and the Loyalty to Resistance bloc, has strongly criticized the Lebanese government’s approach to Israeli incursions and alleged violations of Lebanese territory. Fayyad stated that the sessions of the ceasefire monitoring mechanism committee are futile and suspicious, asserting that negotiating with the enemy constitutes capitulation to dangerous and unending conditions.
Fayyad highlighted that the Israeli regime’s public declaration of its intention to remain in occupied Lebanese areas and establish a security buffer zone is more alarming than recent aggressions. He described this stance as a dangerous precursor to solidifying occupation and permanence in Lebanon, rather than a withdrawal by the Israeli regime.
The Hezbollah representative further elaborated that the Israeli regime aims to prolong its presence in Lebanon by attempting to disarm the resistance. He argued that this strategy seeks to violate Lebanese sovereignty, target anything deemed necessary, and leverage the imposed security agreement to normalize relations and facilitate economic exchanges. Fayyad stressed that Lebanon stands to gain nothing from this arrangement and faces severe threats to its national interests.
Fayyad criticized the Lebanese government’s weak and passive response to Israeli aggressions and occupation, deeming the current negotiations, allegedly pursued under the auspices of the United States and the Israeli regime, as meaningless. He characterized these talks as nothing more than submission to dangerous and unending conditions. The parliamentarian contended that the Lebanese government’s policy of making concessions emboldens the Zionists to continue their aggressions and occupation.
Concluding his remarks, the Hezbollah representative stated that the Israeli enemy’s declared intention to remain in Lebanon, coupled with its insistence on assassinating young people and destroying livelihoods, provides a valid justification for the Lebanese people’s right to resist and defend themselves and their land.
