Israeli Reserve General: Victory Claims Over Hezbollah a Public Deception

A senior reserve general in the Israeli military has stated that claims of a complete victory over Hezbollah and Iran are designed to deceive the public, warning of severe internal consequences for the state. Isaac Brick, a former Israeli military ombudsman, expressed serious concerns about potential social collapse and the disintegration of the Israeli army.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Isaac Brick, a retired major general in the Israeli army and former commissioner of complaints for soldiers, stated that pronouncements from Israeli officials regarding a “complete victory” over Hezbollah and Iran are merely an attempt to mislead public opinion. He also issued a grave warning about the potential for social disintegration and the breakdown of the Israeli regime’s military.

The Israeli newspaper Maariv reported, citing Brick, that while the Israeli regime is facing strategic stagnation, the Axis of Resistance is actively rebuilding and strengthening its capabilities. Brick highlighted a lack of sound policymaking by Israeli leaders, emphasizing that military, intelligence, and political leaders in Tel Aviv are evading responsibility rather than accepting it.

He continued by asserting that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu supports this trend, prioritizing the survival of his coalition over Israel’s security. Brick cautioned that if Israel continues on its current trajectory, it risks complete international isolation, loss of sovereignty to major powers, social collapse due to inequitable burden-sharing, disintegration of the army, and security erosion. Such a scenario, he warned, would render the events of October 7th merely a prelude to a multi-front confrontation that poses a serious threat to Israel’s existence.
