Moscow Explosion Kills Police Officer, Terrorism Investigation Launched

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, an explosion near one of Moscow‘s railway stations has claimed the life of a police officer and left another injured. The incident occurred in the vicinity of the Savyolovsky Railway Station in Russia’s capital.

The Investigative Committee of Russia announced that a criminal case has been initiated under the title “Attempted assassination of traffic police officers” in connection with the blast. The Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs, in a released statement, confirmed that an examination of CCTV footage indicates the perpetrator of the explosion died at the scene. The Russian Investigative Committee has corroborated this information.
