US House Member Ejected Over Anti-Trump Protest Sign

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the Democratic Representative for Congress, Al Green, was expelled from a session moments after President Donald Trump began his speech. Green had held a banner reading “Black people are not monkeys” during the President’s address to the House of Representatives.
Following his expulsion, Green told CNN that his aim was to draw the President’s attention to this issue. He added, “I wanted the President to see it, and he saw it. I told him that what he did was racist, and he knows it, but sometimes we have to remind him of it publicly.”
The veteran representative from Texas is known for his strong opposition to Trump’s policies, previous efforts to impeach him, and boycotting his past speeches. He emphasized that he was not challenging his party’s leadership but simply conveying a message to the President.
Previously, Trump had released a video on the “Truth Social” platform that depicted former President Barack Obama and his wife Michelle as two monkeys. The dissemination of this image sparked widespread anger in the United States. After condemnation from both Democrats and Republicans, Trump removed the video but refrained from apologizing, claiming he had not seen it in its entirety and that its publication was a “technical error” by an employee.
