US Poll Reveals Shifting Public Opinion: More Americans Sympathize with Palestinians Than Israelis

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, a newly released poll reveals a notable change in American public opinion, marking the first instance since the Gallup Institute began its tracking where the number of Americans sympathizing with Palestinians has surpassed those supporting the Israeli regime.
This shift in American public sentiment follows two decades where the Israeli regime consistently held a relative advantage in public favor. Historically, support for the Israeli regime within American society has remained high, bolstered by extensive lobbying efforts and aligned media narratives.
The survey indicates that 41 percent of Americans expressed sympathy for the Palestinians, compared to 36 percent for the Israeli regime. This divergence is particularly pronounced among Democrats, with 65 percent sympathizing with Palestinians and 17 percent with Israelis.
A substantial change was also observed among independent voters, with 41 percent supporting the Palestinians and 30 percent supporting Israel. This marks a reversal from the previous year, when figures stood at 42 percent for Israel versus 34 percent for the Palestinians.
The Gallup Institute also reported a ten-point decrease in sympathy for Israelis among Republicans since 2024, reaching its lowest point since 2004.
