Syrian Kurds Urge Iranian Kurds to Avoid Alliance with U.S.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Syrian Kurds residing in the northeast have issued a stark warning to Kurds in Iran regarding any potential alliance with the United States. This advisory stems from their own experiences of what they describe as abandonment by American forces during the conflict against the current regime.
The Syrian Kurds have indicated that Iranian Kurds might face a similar fate if they choose to cooperate with Washington. Saad Ali, a Syrian Kurd living in Qamishli, directly addressed Iranian Kurds, urging them not to repeat the mistakes made by their Syrian counterparts and to avoid an alliance with the U.S. He further warned that if an agreement were to occur between Tehran and Washington, their cause could be jeopardized.
Reuters reported on the reasons behind the Syrian Kurds’ advice, noting that Kurds had fought alongside the United States for a decade against ISIS. However, they were ultimately asked by the U.S. to integrate their forces into the current regime’s army.
