Russia Denounces US ‘Provocative Policies’ in Persian Gulf
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, based on data published by the Mehr News Agency citing Sputnik, Vassily Nebenzia, Russia‘s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, stated at a UN Security Council session concerning regional tensions, fueled by the adventurism of the United States and the Zionist regime, that the aggressive actions of the United States have endangered the security of the Persian Gulf littoral states.
He emphasized that U.S. military bases and facilities in the region are considered legitimate targets for Iran’s self-defense.
Nebenzia further stressed that Bahrain’s proposal for a Middle East resolution, without condemning U.S. and Israeli attacks against Iran, will not lead to peace and will only exacerbate regional disputes.
