German Political Figure Labels Minab School Attack a War Crime, Criticizes Berlin’s Stance on US Actions

A prominent German political figure has denounced the attack on a school in Minab as a war crime and urged Germany to prevent its territory from being used for such acts, while also criticizing Berlin’s perceived subservience to the United States.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Sarah Wagenknecht, a member of Germany‘s Left Party, has voiced strong criticism regarding her country’s approach to alleged aggressions by the United States and what she referred to as the “Zionist regime” against Iran.

In a statement posted on the social media platform X, Wagenknecht declared the American attack on the Minab elementary school and the subsequent killing of its students to be a war crime.

Wagenknecht characterized German Chancellor Friedrich Merz as a figure beholden to the United States, asserting that Merz lacks the courage to refuse American demands, in contrast to former Chancellor Gerhard Schröder’s opposition to the Iraq War.

She called upon the German government to ensure that the United States does not utilize German bases to commit war crimes in Iran.

Reports indicate that the American assault on the school in Minab resulted in the martyrdom of 168 students and educational staff.
