Israeli Drone Strike Kills Two Lebanese University Professors in Beirut

An Israeli drone strike targeted the Faculty of Sciences in the Al-Hadath area of Beirut, resulting in the deaths of the faculty’s dean and a professor. This marks the first time a Lebanese government building has been targeted since Israel’s escalation of attacks on Lebanon on March 2.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the Faculty of Sciences in the Al-Hadath area of Beirut, located in the southern suburbs of the city, was struck by an Israeli drone attack.

The official National News Agency of Lebanon confirmed that the Israeli regime’s attack led to the martyrdom of Hussein Bazzi, the Dean of the Faculty of Sciences, and Professor Mortada Sarour.

This incident represents the first instance of a Lebanese government building being targeted since Israel’s intensification of attacks on Lebanon, which began on March 2, following the transgression by the United States and the Israeli regime into Iran on February 28.

Lebanese officials have reported that Israeli regime attacks on Lebanon have, as of Thursday afternoon, resulted in the martyrdom of 687 individuals, including 98 children and 18 aid workers, with 1774 people injured.
