Macron indicated that Paris is consulting with its international allies, particularly members of the United Nations Security Council, to establish an international framework for assessing the situation in the Strait of Hormuz. He expressed hope that with the region entering religious holidays, hostilities would cease to create an opportunity for a negotiated solution, anticipating an agreement on a ceasefire in the coming days.
