German Chancellor Friedrich Mütz stated on Saturday that U.S. President Donald Trump holds a negative view of him, highlighting significant differences between the United States and the European Union. These divergences have become increasingly apparent following recent political events and statements.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, citing Sputnik via Mehr News Agency, German Chancellor Friedrich Mütz announced on Saturday that U.S. President Donald Trump does not have a positive stance towards him. Mütz revealed deep disagreements between the United States and the European Union.

The German Chancellor stated, “As of now, it does not appear that Trump has a positive attitude towards me.” He further elaborated that this sentiment has become quite evident since the reprimand of Volodymyr Zelensky at the White House, and subsequently, the position taken by J.D. Vance, the U.S. Vice President, during the Munich Security Conference in 2025.

Mütz underscored the profound extent of the divisions between the European Union and the United States.
