Lebanese President Warns of Israeli Plan to Destroy Infrastructure in Southern Lebanon

Lebanese President Joseph Aoun has issued a stern warning, stating that Israel’s targeting of infrastructure, including bridges, in southern Lebanon is a dangerous step towards the planned destruction of civilian and residential facilities.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, based on data published by Mehr News Agency, quoting Al Jazeera, the President of Lebanon emphasized that Israel’s targeting of infrastructure in southern Lebanon represents a dangerous diversion towards the planned destruction of civilian and residential facilities.

In his remarks, Joseph Aoun added that the attack on southern Lebanon’s infrastructure constitutes collective punishment against civilians.

He clarified that targeting bridges over the Litani River is part of suspicious schemes to create a buffer zone and solidify the reality of occupation.

The Lebanese President further warned that Israeli attacks on Lebanon’s infrastructure could be a precursor to a ground invasion.

Amid escalating tensions on the Lebanese borders, the Israeli Minister of War announced immediate orders for the destruction of Lebanese bridges and homes in border areas, an action that has heightened concerns about the expansion of hostilities.

In line with its aggressive actions, the Israeli regime launched a heavy aerial attack on Sunday, completely destroying the Al-Qasimiya bridge over the Litani River.
