Hezbollah Launches Multiple Attacks on Israeli Positions Following Airstrikes

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Hezbollah launched a series of attacks on Israeli army positions in southern Lebanon, including missile and drone strikes, following Israeli airstrikes in the Bekaa Valley. Al Jazeera reported that Israeli fighter jets bombed the town of Sahmar in the Bekaa Valley in eastern Lebanon.
In statements released on Sunday afternoon, Hezbollah declared that it had targeted “a gathering of enemy Israeli soldiers with missiles in the hills of Salsal, west of the border town of Yaroun.” The group also reported shelling enemy Israeli vehicles and soldiers in the town of Maroun al-Ras in southern Lebanon.
Hezbollah further stated that it had targeted Israeli soldiers with drones after discovering their attempt to advance towards Khellet al-Bustan near Maroun al-Ras, achieving direct hits on their intended targets. Additionally, Hezbollah explained that it had attacked a gathering of Israeli army soldiers east of the town of Khiam in southern Lebanon with a barrage of assault drones and shelled the town of Kiryat Shmona with rockets.
The Israeli Broadcasting Authority reported that coordinated missile attacks between Iran and Hezbollah targeted areas in northern Israel. Meanwhile, the Israeli news website Walla reported that 48 soldiers have been injured since the ground operation began in southern Lebanon, following an earlier report by the Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper stating that seven soldiers were wounded in three separate incidents in southern Lebanon.
The Lebanese Ministry of Health reported that the ongoing Israeli aggression against Lebanon has resulted in 1029 martyrs and 2786 injured from March 2nd until Sunday. Israel initiated a new wave of aggression against Lebanon three weeks prior, carrying out airstrikes on the southern suburbs of Beirut and areas in the south and east, followed by a limited ground incursion into southern Lebanon the next day.
