Qatar‘s Amir, His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, received a phone call from U.S. President Donald Trump, during which the two leaders exchanged views on the latest regional developments and relations, underscoring the necessity of de-escalating tensions.

The Qatari Emir reiterated Doha’s consistent stance on maintaining regional stability, stressing that prioritizing diplomatic solutions and political pathways is the sole method to achieve lasting security and prevent crisis escalation in the region.

The U.S. President acknowledged Qatar’s significant role in fostering de-escalation efforts and expressed appreciation for the country’s support of regional mediation and its endeavors to bridge divergent viewpoints for the enhancement of stability.
