China Denies Supplying Iran with Air Defense Systems Used Against US Aircraft

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs has categorically denied allegations circulating in international media regarding Iran’s use of Chinese-manufactured air defense systems to shoot down an American fighter jet. Beijing has dismissed these claims as “baseless lies” and “malicious accusations.”.
Guo Jiaquan, spokesperson for the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, stated that China has consistently maintained a cautious and responsible approach to military exports. He emphasized that Beijing exercises strict control over its arms sales in accordance with international laws, regulations, and commitments.
“We firmly reject these baseless lies and malicious accusations,” Jiaquan added during a press briefing.
The assertions surfaced in light of events reported on April 15th of the current year. U.S. President Donald Trump had previously claimed to have requested Chinese President Xi Jinping to halt arms sales to Iran, asserting that he received assurances from Beijing that such sales would cease.
