Thirteen Injured in Newark Airport Bus Accident

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, based on data published by Mehr News Agency and cited by CBS, U.S. transportation officials reported that thirteen people were injured early Monday morning due to a collision involving a staff transport bus at Newark Liberty International Airport.

A spokesperson for the Port Authority announced that the employee shuttle bus experienced an incident at approximately 3 a.m. on the third level (departures level) of Terminal B.

Images from the scene indicate that the bus apparently collided with a concrete wall while attempting to exit the terminal. The front windshield and passenger door were severely damaged, and the front wheel housing sustained significant impact.

Police and emergency medical personnel responded to the scene and attended to several individuals who had sustained injuries. According to the spokesperson, these individuals were transported to the hospital for treatment.

Transportation authorities are currently investigating the incident. The Level 3 roadway has been closed, and response teams are engaged in clearing debris from the accident site.
