Al-Aqsa Mosque Imam Warns of Israeli Efforts to Destroy Sacred Site

Sheikh Ikrimah Sabri, the Imam of Al-Aqsa Mosque, has warned that ongoing excavations by the Israeli regime beneath the mosque threaten its foundations and are part of a larger plan to alter the religious and geographic identity of occupied Jerusalem.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Sheikh Ikrimah Sabri, the Imam of Al-Aqsa Mosque, stated that excavations by the Israeli regime beneath Al-Aqsa Mosque are threatening its foundations. He emphasized that these actions are part of a broader scheme to change the religious and geographic identity of occupied Jerusalem and the surrounding region.

Sabri explained that Israeli authorities are anticipating a 5-magnitude earthquake to demolish the mosque’s infrastructure, leading to the eventual destruction of the entire structure. He recalled that in 1928, following an earthquake in Turkey and Syria, only parts of Al-Aqsa Mosque sustained damage due to its strong foundations, but the current situation is far more perilous.

He added that the expansion of conflicts from Gaza to Lebanon and Iran will never lead to the realization of Israel’s Greater Israel project, asserting that the occupiers will not reach the Nile or the Euphrates.

Furthermore, Sabri cautioned against the Israeli regime’s plots to incite sectarian and racial strife among Arab and Islamic nations.
