Prominent Likud Party Members Depart Amidst Growing Political Divisions

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, splits within Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu‘s Likud party have intensified due to political disagreements, as reported by the Al-Maalomah news agency, citing an expert on Israeli affairs. The Likud party has recently experienced the departure of a number of its prominent members amid increasing criticism of the party leadership concerning their domestic and foreign policies.
Six key members of the Likud party have left, including Shimon Stein, who has joined the Yisrael Beiteinu party led by Avigdor Lieberman. Significant disputes exist within the Likud party regarding the management of political and security issues, which are negatively impacting the party’s future. Israeli parliamentary elections are scheduled to be held by October 27.
