Israeli Forces Strike Hezbollah Infrastructure in Beirut’s Dahieh Amid Escalating Lebanon Border Tensions

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Al Jazeera reported that news sources have confirmed an Israeli strike on Dahieh, with the Israeli army asserting that Hezbollah infrastructure in the area was targeted.
The ongoing attacks by the Israeli regime on southern Lebanon have led to Lebanese sources reporting the deaths of two citizens in an Israeli drone strike on a vehicle in the town of Maysaloun, located in the Tyre District of southern Lebanon. The Israeli army also launched aerial attacks early this morning on the villages of Majdal Zoun, Al-Mansouri, Qlayleh, and Al-Abbasieh, as well as the Al-Amoura area in Hosh Sour. The areas of Beit Al-Sayyad and Al-Mansouri were also subjected to artillery fire.
The village of Al-Sarih in the Jezzine District was also hit by an Israeli air strike late last night. While no casualties were reported, several residential homes sustained damage, and fires that broke out were extinguished by residents. However, a portion of the village’s agricultural lands and orchards were burned.
In parallel, two Israeli ministers have issued strong statements regarding Dahieh. Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich continued his inflammatory rhetoric, stating that missile launches from Lebanon towards northern cities are a test of the Dahieh equation, which he claims was announced by Netanyahu and must be implemented decisively. He further asserted that buildings in southern Beirut should be bombed today in response to drone attacks on northern cities.
Smotrich had previously posted on the X platform, calling for the destruction of buildings in southern Beirut in response to any fire directed towards the occupied territories. He stated, “We are in fateful days that will shape the course of events for years to come. We must not allow Hezbollah to exploit this situation to harm the north. The only way forward is for 10 buildings in southern Beirut to collapse for every shot fired into our territory, starting tonight.”
Meanwhile, Israeli Minister of Internal Security Itamar Ben-Gvir declared that Dahieh in Beirut should be shaken in response to every launch from Lebanon. He announced his intention to ask Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to respond to every drone launch from Lebanon with a missile strike.
These statements from the two Israeli ministers come amid continuous tensions on the Lebanon-occupied Palestine border, despite previous declared ceasefire agreements between the two parties. Earlier, Israel’s Channel 12 reported the impact and explosion of three drones launched from Lebanon towards northern occupied Palestine. The network also reported that one drone hit near a military base in Western Galilee without causing any casualties.
