Omani Foreign Minister Hails US-Iran Deal as Diplomatic Victory; Algeria, Sudan, and Iraqi Kurdish Leader Also Express Support

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Oman’s Foreign Minister, Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, has called for global support for the agreement reached between Iran and the United States, describing it as a victory for diplomacy and sound logic at the opportune moment. He expressed appreciation for all parties who contributed to achieving this understanding, stating that the international community should welcome this accord.
The Algerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs also welcomed the understanding between Iran and the United States and the cessation of conflict in the region. In a statement, Algeria praised the efforts of international mediators, particularly Pakistan and Qatar, and underscored the importance of all parties adhering to the agreements. Algeria expressed hope that this accord will foster trust among the involved parties and create a suitable environment for finding final solutions to all outstanding issues, aiming to guarantee lasting and stable security in the region.
Former Iraqi Prime Minister and head of the “Abnaa and Development” coalition, Mohammed Shia’ Al Sudani, welcomed the understanding reached between the United States and Iran to end the conflicts. He deemed it a significant step towards de-escalating tensions and strengthening stability in the region. Al Sudani announced in a message that this understanding could pave the way for a more comprehensive agreement and play an important role in calming the regional atmosphere. He added that the developments confirm the correctness of the approach Iraq has emphasized since the beginning of the war, prioritizing dialogue and diplomacy as the primary solutions for crises over escalating tensions and warfare. Al Sudani further noted that recent events have demonstrated that ongoing conflicts not only affect the direct parties to the dispute but also impact all regional countries, including Iraq, which has borne heavy security and economic costs from regional tensions. The head of the Abnaa and Development coalition concluded by stressing that any path leading to de-escalation and the establishment of calm is a collective achievement, creating more opportunities for stability and development across the region.
Bafel Talabani, President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan in Iraq, described the agreement between Iran and the United States as historic and congratulated both nations. He expressed hope that this agreement would lead to lasting peace in the region. Talabani added that the agreement is a positive step towards reducing tensions and strengthening stability in the Middle East. He noted that the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan has supported all efforts for peace, dialogue, and cooperation from the outset and will continue this approach.
