Netanyahu: Israel Not Bound by Lebanon Clause in Iran-US Deal

Israel does not consider itself obligated by the clause pertaining to Lebanon in the memorandum of understanding between Iran and the United States, according to an advisor to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. This statement comes as Israel reportedly seeks accelerated talks with Beirut.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, an advisor to Benjamin Netanyahu, the Prime Minister of the Zionist regime, stated that the regime does not consider itself bound by the clause related to Lebanon in the memorandum of understanding between Iran and the United States. This information was published by Mehr News Agency, citing the Axios news website.

According to the American news outlet and Netanyahu’s advisor, he informed President Trump that Israeli forces will not withdraw from southern Lebanon until Hezbollah is disarmed.

This news emerges as the Israeli newspaper “Israel Hayom” reported that the Zionist regime is attempting to expedite discussions with Lebanon, aiming to reach an agreement with Beirut as quickly as possible, concurrent with the achievement of a comprehensive deal between the United States and Iran.

Tel Aviv’s objective in reaching an agreement with the Beirut government, mediated by the United States, is to remove Iran’s demand for the withdrawal of Israeli forces from Lebanon as one of the conditions for a deal between Tehran and Washington from the agenda of the two parties’ negotiations.

U.S. President Donald Trump told reporters last night as he was leaving the Palace of Versailles in Paris, following a dinner with President Macron, that a understanding to end the war with Iran had been signed.
