Pelosi Criticizes Trump’s Iran Deal as Costly Failure for U.S.

Nancy Pelosi, U.S. Representative and former Speaker of the House, has sharply criticized a new understanding between the Trump administration and Iran, labeling it a costly failure for American taxpayers that ignores crucial issues.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Nancy Pelosi, a U.S. Representative and former Speaker of the House, has criticized the Trump administration’s recent understanding with Iran, as reported by the Mehr News Agency via MS News television network.

Pelosi argued that the new agreement with Iran imposes billions of dollars in costs on American taxpayers without addressing the issue of Iran’s ballistic missiles. She stated that the U.S. President tore up a previous agreement, only to return with something that even Republicans consider a failure.

The former Speaker elaborated, “If we are to give $300 billion for reconstruction to Iran, lift oil sale sanctions, and do many other things, this is merely a ridiculous ransom. This is happening without addressing the only criticism people had of the Obama administration’s nuclear deal with Iran, which was the failure to address the ballistic missile issue; this new agreement also pays no attention to it.”

Pelosi further commented, “We tore up a good agreement, went to war, and unfortunately witnessed casualties among American forces. In return, we have reached an agreement that spends billions of dollars from the pockets of our taxpayers to pay ransom to Iran.”

Nancy Pelosi emphasized, “People must pay the cost individually at the gas pumps, and this is an issue that has truly placed a heavy burden on people’s lives.”
