Netanyahu Claims Israel Struck Hezbollah Infrastructure With US Knowledge
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Israeli War Minister Israel Katz claimed on Monday that they had destroyed tunnels and underground infrastructure belonging to Hezbollah in the Majdal Zoun area of southern Lebanon. They stated that this operation was conducted after informing the United States and its representative in Lebanon.
In a joint statement, Netanyahu and Katz declared that the Israeli army would continue to dismantle Hezbollah’s infrastructure and neutralize threats to northern Israeli cities. They also asserted that Israeli forces would remain in the designated ‘security zone’ in southern Lebanon.
The Israeli leaders further claimed that the destroyed tunnel contained hundreds of weapons and several rocket launchers, alleging it posed a significant threat.
