US Envoys Kushner, Wittcoff Heading to Doha for High-Level Talks with Iran

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, White House spokesperson Caroline Levitt informed Fox News on Monday that Jared Kushner and Steve Wittcoff, the U.S. envoys and negotiators for the region, are scheduled to travel to Doha this week for high-level meetings with Iranian officials.

Without referencing Washington’s repeated provocations against Tehran in the region, the White House spokesperson asserted that Iranian violence would be met with a forceful response. Technical negotiations are expected to take place on the sidelines of the high-level talks with Iran in Doha.

U.S. President Donald Trump claimed on Truth Social hours earlier that Iran had requested a meeting, which is slated to be held in Doha on Tuesday.

This development follows Al Mayadeen’s earlier report that the technical meeting between Iran and the United States, previously planned for Switzerland, has been relocated to Qatar.

The New York Times, citing a senior U.S. official, alleged that technical negotiations with Iran regarding the implementation of an understanding are still scheduled for the coming days.

The Wall Street Journal had previously reported the cancellation of this week’s talks in Switzerland.
