Israeli Report Warns of Next Generation Hezbollah Drones Threatening Northern Border

A recent Israeli research report submitted to the regime’s intelligence services has sounded the alarm over the escalating threat of explosive drones employed by Hezbollah, forecasting their rise as a prominent danger to the Israeli military along the northern frontier.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, a recent Israeli research report, presented to the regime’s intelligence services, has warned of the increasing danger posed by explosive drones utilized by Hezbollah. The report anticipates that these drones will become one of the most significant threats facing the Israeli army on its northern borders.

The report, disseminated by Israel’s Channel 12 television, highlights findings from a research center affiliated with the International Institute for Counter-Terrorism (ICT) at Reichman University in the occupied territories. It emphasizes that small drones carrying explosives have emerged as one of the most perilous threats to the Israeli military in southern Lebanon and on the home front over the past two years.

The study points to the low cost of producing these drones, their relative ease of construction, and the difficulties in detecting them. It also notes their capability to fly at low altitudes, be deployed in large numbers, and the use of optical fibers by some models, which makes jamming or disabling them extremely challenging.

The authors of the study contend that the current challenges faced by the Israeli army represent merely the nascent stage of a broader evolution in drone warfare. They urge preparedness for future generations of these threats, asserting that the existing tools employed by Israel’s security and military apparatus are no longer adequate and will not provide future solutions.
