Russia to Send Medvedev to Attend Funeral of Iranian Leader
Russia has announced that Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Security Council, will represent the country at the funeral ceremony for Iran’s martyred leader. Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will also attend the event.
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of Russia, will attend the funeral ceremony for Iran’s martyred leader on behalf of his country. This was announced by the Kremlin spokesperson, citing information published by Mehr News Agency and TASS.
Furthermore, Agence France-Presse, quoting Pakistan, reported that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif of Pakistan will participate in the said ceremony.
Previously, Saad Maan, spokesperson for the High Committee for the Funeral Ceremony of the Martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution of Iran in Iraq, had emphasized that estimates indicated millions of people would participate in the ceremonies in Karbala and Najaf Ashraf.
