Lebanese President Aoun Defends Framework Agreement with Israel Amidst Criticism

Lebanese President Joseph Aoun stated he is not infatuated with Israel but urged for alternative solutions to the current framework agreement signed with the Israeli regime. He emphasized the urgent need to find a path away from potential conflict.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Lebanese President Joseph Aoun defended the framework agreement signed with the Israeli regime, asserting that he is not infatuated with Israel but is seeking viable alternatives. Addressing criticism from media circles and national elites, President Aoun stated during a meeting with journalists, “I want to tell you that I am not infatuated with Israel, but I ask you to propose any other solution that you can.”

He further elaborated on the need for resolution, telling those who oppose the framework agreement that he is awaiting a solution or any accord that will extricate Lebanon from war. President Aoun dismissed comparisons to the May 17th period, claiming the current circumstances are entirely different and that he has received congratulations for his actions from various parties.
