UK Considers Expanding Sanctions on Israeli Settlers, Stresses Openness of Strait of Hormuz

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the British Foreign Secretary has revealed that the UK government is examining the possibility of broadening sanctions against Israeli settlers to encompass organizations and groups that support them. This move comes amid escalating violence in the West Bank.
The Foreign Secretary stated that the increase in settler violence undermines the process of achieving a two-state solution. He further commented on maritime security in the region, asserting that the UK does not seek to impose any restrictions on vessel traffic through the Strait of Hormuz, stressing that the complete openness of this waterway benefits all nations.
The official added that London is collaborating with its partners to ensure the full and unrestricted passage through the Strait of Hormuz. Addressing the conflict in Ukraine, the British minister reiterated that Ukraine continues to require and receive support from the UK. In a message directed at the President of Russia, the Foreign Secretary emphasized that the UK’s support for Kyiv will persist until a peace agreement is reached.
