Hamas Denounces Israeli Settlement Expansion in West Bank as Dangerous Land Grab

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas has described an agreement between the extremist Israeli government and the “Council of Northern Settlements in the West Bank” to build 12,000 new settlement units and allocate eight billion shekels (approximately $2.66 billion) for settlement infrastructure development as a criminal and dangerous accord intended to Judaize Palestinian lands.
In a statement, Hamas declared that this agreement constitutes an escalation of the occupation regime’s unchecked war and is part of its efforts to control the West Bank, annex Palestinian territories, and displace the region’s inhabitants.
The movement warned of the repercussions of the new settlement construction agreement, emphasizing that the Israeli regime, by exploiting American support and international silence regarding its policies for occupying the West Bank, is implementing the plans of a fascist cabinet and the decisions of Bezalel Smotrich, who has previously threatened to seize and fully annex the West Bank.
Hamas announced that these “terrorist and Judaizing actions” necessitate a unified Palestinian stance, the choice of resistance and confrontation, and the activation of all means of engagement to thwart the policies of the extremist Israeli regime’s cabinet.
The statement added that the Israeli regime’s cabinet has intensified its aggressions against the Palestinian people through killing, genocide, land confiscation, and desecration of holy sites. However, it asserted that its decisions and plans are destined to fail in light of the steadfastness of the Palestinian people and the deep-rooted spirit of resistance in the cities, villages, and camps of the West Bank.
The Hamas movement called on the resilient Palestinian people throughout the West Bank and Jerusalem to continue and intensify their confrontation with the occupying enemy to expel the regime from Palestinian land and holy sites.
Hamas also urged the United Nations and the international community to move beyond verbal condemnations and take practical measures to halt these plans, which are considered a dangerous attempt to eliminate the Palestinian issue and undermine the historical rights of the Palestinian people.
