Martyr Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis’ Family Slams Trump’s ‘Contemptible’ Remarks
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the family of martyr Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, the former deputy head of Iraq’s Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF), issued a statement on Wednesday asserting that the words of U.S. President Donald Trump, and his reference to Qassem Soleimani and Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, clearly demonstrate his fear.
The statement continued: “We wish to remind this novice in politics, who carries the title of Prime Minister of Iraq, that whoever turns their back on their country’s past has severed ties with their nation, and one whose past is void is not worthy of future leadership.”
The family of martyr Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis further stated that the purpose of the Iraqi Prime Minister’s trip to Washington was to achieve two significant objectives. The first is the dismantling of the PMF as an ideological force that confronts the forces of arrogance and their tools due to its formation, existence, and history, thereby completing the path that began with the assassination of al-Muhandis. The second objective is to gain control over Iraq’s oil resources.
The statement emphasized that the discourse surrounding the necessity of dismantling the resistance and handing over weapons under the pretext of state monopoly over arms, regardless of its source, represents an unacceptable American-Zionist narrative.
The statement concluded by stressing the imperative of resistance and confrontation against economic presence seeking to plunder Iraq’s resources, as well as the necessity of resisting their military presence with all might.
It is noteworthy that U.S. President Trump, during his meeting with Iraqi Prime Minister Al-Kadhimi yesterday, stated: “I killed Soleimani, and by the way, a very bad person from Iraq was killed in the same incident. So, I don’t know if I’ve done you a favor or not!” Al-Kadhimi responded: “I was not involved in politics and do not care about the past; my current trip is for discussing the future!”
